What is in a name? What does it mean?

These are often the first questions that come to mind. The Sacred Wind Sanctuary of Universal Life is exactly as the name suggests. We provide 'Sanctuary', for all those who wish to practice their faith without fear of persecution, reprisal, or discrimination. We are of Universal Life because all life is connected. What effects one, effects us all, whether directly or indirectly. This is the very basis of community, that very basic nature and need of humanity.

Earth-Based faiths have through time been mislabeled and misunderstood. Not only by the general population, but even within the Pagan community as a whole. There is a great diversity in our world, and our faiths reflect that. Even as focused as the term Pagan, it encompasses many different traditions of Paganism. This may be Wicca, Asatru, Kemetic, Druid, Shaman, Greco, Roman, Native, or any number of other paths.

We seek to provide an opportunity for the community of Earth-based faiths at large, to practice their beliefs and rituals, and the ability to learn from Earth-based faiths other than their own. Through this diversity, we find common ground in thought and belief. We feel this should be used to facilitate respect and understanding within the community and for all human kind.

We seek the betterment of the community through the support of various charities, outreach programs, and educational seminars. A strong, well founded community provides a good base for spiritual realization, and spiritual realization helps one to bring more strength to the community.
